Returns, Shipping & Cancellations

Shipping

All strings and accessories will be shipped using Australia Post. Other items including bass guitars and amplification equipment will be shipped using our courier service providers. Deliveries to major capital cities are usually within 1-5 business days depending on the service you have selected, regional areas and WA deliveries are usually within 8 working days.

We reserve the right to cancel orders where the freight costs are far in excess of what the website system quotes. This is extremely rare, but given the size of this big land there are some remote areas that our couriers charge extreme amounts to deliver to. You will be notified if there is an issue and fully refunded if this is the case. 

We ship daily at 2pm (Monday to Friday) excluding Victorian public holidays. If you require more info on shipping to your area please contact us, our contact details are listed under the 'Info' menu.

* Exceptions are large items to remote areas where the freight costs are excessive. Exceptions also include large items under $500 such as cases, some gigbags and some amplification gear.  

Its a vast country and unfortunately freight costs have increased significantly.  If we see an issue we will contact you to discuss and we will always offer a full refund.

Returns

You are entitled to a refund OR repair OR exchange OR credit if the products you’ve bought are:

  • faulty
  • significantly different to those shown or described to you
  • not doing what they’re supposed to do.

When you buy, you should choose carefully. You don’t automatically get a refund for simply changing your mind.

If you have a item that you are wanting to return you may REQUEST a return by emailing us at info@basscentre.com.au or call 03 9696 6561.

Requesting a return does not automatically mean that we will accept the return. We need to assess the situation and then we will respond with the course of action to be taken.

Returns will attract a 8% restocking fee and freight costs if there is no fault with the product.

Requests for returns will only be accepted within 5 days of you receiving the goods unless you have a warrantee claim. You will be responsible for return shipping costs unless the product was shipped by us incorrectly. Credits and refunds are limited to the cost of the goods excluding freight charges.

Cancellations

Order Cancellations will incur a 3% Cancellation Fee. This is due to the banking fees that we incur on every transaction, we can not recover these fees from financial institutions. The 3% Fee is to cover the costs that we incur by these institutions.

Delivery Times

All delivery times are estimates only. We can not be responsible for any delays that are outside of our control. Most deliveries of items that we have in stock occur within 7 days with most East Coast capital city deliveries taking 1-5 days. We endeavour to give you the most accurate information in relation to delivery times. We will not accept an order cancellation due to a delivery delay. 

Special orders, custom orders and non stock items that are ordered from overseas have an estimated delivery date. We will not be held responsible if these dates are not met by our suppliers, and a failure to deliver goods by a particular date will not be accepted as a reason for an order cancellation unless agreed to by The Bass Centre.
