Ibanez Portamento SRF706 6 String Fretless..Clearance

From the Ibanez Bass Workshop, the Portamento SRF706 takes fretless to another level. The SR Portamento features 5-piece Maple/ Bubinga through-neck for increased sustain and superior tone. Extended range 30 fret Panga Panga fingerboard with side line markings and dots. Adding another voice to the bass it has a Aero Silk Piezo Bridge System as well as dual Bartolini soapbar pickups and active 2 band preamp. On the back of the bass you are able to adjust the piezo volume of each string for the perfect balance. The EQ section incorporates the controls of the Bartolini pickups with the AeroSilk Piezo system. Controls include a Master volume, balance and bass & treble controls for the Bartolini MK-1 pickups and a Master volume and a tone control for the Piezo system.

This is an awesome bass! The build quality is gorgeous and it is so fun to play. Well balanced and such a huge range of sounds. Definitely not a 1 trick pony. Having the piezo pickups gives a whole another layer to play with in blending a sound. Bass Centre were a pleasure to deal with. They are not the cheapest site on line but they actually setup the instrument before shipping it rather than the drop shipment style of service that is pretty common out there these days. Highly recommend getting your gear through bass centre. Definitely a happy customer, could not be more pleased with the bass or the guys who got it out to me :-)
