AustraliaPleasant purchase for sight-unseen. The Sire sure does the business!
The Bass Centre team were fantastic - being all bass players meant I could trust their opinion and their service was outstanding: I ordered and paid online around 12:30pm, it was shipped to me same day and arrived the next. Immaculately packed, perfect choice! Special thanks to Chris who was patient and kind. The Sire is a delight to play. While it’s heavier than what I was used to, it’s not head/neck heavy like I was afraid of. It sits nicely on the shoulders as long as you have a padded strap. The playability is great, sustain is long and sweet, and tone control options are fantastic. (The +/-20db on the bass tone knob is insane!) 2 x 9V batteries for the pre-amp were a surprise, but you understand why when you listen to that tight, phat bottom end! Bass Centre had it setup and it plays exactly how I like it. Aesthetically, I do wish i’d gone for the V-8 Swamp Ash in Natural finish (i’m a sucker for seeing the timber-grain), but I can’t complain about the tobacco. It does look and sound great. I’ve since paired it with a Fender Rumble Combo 500, and it rattles the walls when it needs to and plays delicately when you don’t. - Another fine piece of advice from Bass Centre! Ordered my Sire V7 5 on the Monday and received it lunchtime Tuesday. Thank you Bass centre for another outstanding and smooth purchase, you guys really are the best. Bass plays perfectly straight out of the new mono type gig bag and looks a million dollars, I got the sunburst after much deliberation and the block inlays and binding on the rosewood neck really give it a high end look and feel. This is my second Sire V7 5 and I couldn’t be happier they really are amazing value for the money, thanks again and special mention to Dave for the personal service. 10/10 😊

Well, I'm up to Sire number three now. You seriously can't go wrong. So much bang for your buck. I'm thinking there might be another couple more to add to the collection soon. Great tone. Great features. Great feel. But seriously, if they're good enough for Marcus, they're good enough for me. 🤷♂️

Bang for buck
These Sire v7 5 string basses are amazing for the price great neck, feels great in the hand, build quality is amazing for the price, sounds killer the preamp is really useable and intuitive to use. The vintage vibe with the matching headstock and block inlays is a nice touch, great to have in the collection if you need a great 5 string on a modest budget.
