Sourcing a power supply for this puppy was a bit of a pain... First world probs right..but this unit is da bomb! If you've got a powered speaker and need the equivalent of an amp head to get you a great bass tone without full head and cabinet you can't fault this unit. Output is surprisingly bigger than expected and tone control excellent. Seriously the best 400 bucks I've spent this year. Great piece of kit not a quasi good compromise.

The Alpha Stompbox
The single most useful unit i have ever had ... Great for using hired gear or monitor sends , has boost control that takes a bit to get used to .. Fattens up any bass tone , good for Double and Electrics of course . If i can only use one unit ..this is the one to take .. Tough too !

Killer tone shaping
This bass preamp makes every bass in my arsenal sound amazing. From my Laklands 60 to my Music Man (active and passive). I have been playing bass for twelve years and if I would have known that a preamp like this could make my tone so sweet, I would have bought it with my first bass. Whatever style you play, finger-style, pick, slap and pop (thump), this preamp will deliver the sweetest tone. I don't have any road experience with it yet, but it seems to be build like a tank.
