want that classic bass fuzz sound? well you found it. i have used the deluxe one and there is a lot more to play with but this does the job perfect to begin with. a must have for every bass player
I've had this pedal for about a year and I use it all the time, and I never get sick of it. This pedal IS a must have. ROCK ON!
This thing is great. You can have a little sizzle over the top of your dry tone or you can go to a thick wall of fuzzy goodness. Defiantly a must on any heavy genre bass players list.
This pedal is able to take your distortion to any level you wish. I combine it with the Sansamp. With these two pedals combined I am able to achieve so much. I own a Fender Aerodyne Jazz bass, so i have both P and J pickups. I used to use this with my Epiphone EB-3, and even with its flat pickups this pedal still sounded fine, but it was fairly muddy. I'll admit that it does sound better with proper P pickups or something with a fat low end. Without the Sansamp spicing things up this pedal still sounds great. The amount of control you have over the sound is amazing. This was given to me as a birthday gift and was probably one of the best things. I had been borrowing the Russian make off of a friend for a while and was able to compare the two. The American was much, much better. It was mainly just a whole lot sturdier and the control was a lot tighter. I feel that it is a must have for anyone who plays rock or hardcore. It's great for experimenting with different sounds and levels of distortion. Plus its fun explaining the name to people who don't know what it is.
I have never trusted the Nano vibe.. I run an old Sovtek **** and never believed that a smaller, newer **** could pack as much muscle. On the mission to shrink my pedal board, it was not long until the conversation started, "why not the Nano". I was more keen to run a Boss Bass overdrive or a Sansamp as an OD. I found a second-hand Nona **** and thought I would give it a go... When I got home and A B'd the Nano with the Sovtek, I was blown away... (Mark Bass amp, 2x12 Lab Systems box and a Pbass) The Nano is a little more fizzy... maybe, and the Sovtek might have a little more body. But there is not much in it. The "Bass boost" on the Nano is not all it's cracked up to be... but the "Dry" setting that turns the Volume into a wet and dry effect mix is what sealed the deal for me... I can now run a Big **** cranking and bleed it in over my clean tone. And it's a third of the size of the Sovtek. Dont get me wrong, I'm not running out to sell my Sovtek, but the Nano will be doing all my gigs and touring. It really is a killer Fuzz for the price.
