WORTHY of the SVT Logo
This is about the only thing I haven't bought from the Bass Centre ( long story ) but I thought Id still give a quick review on this wonderful amp anyway. Its been my main gigging amp for the past 4 years so hopefully I got half and idea about it by now haha. In a Nutshell ( IMHO, IME ):- Heaps and heaps of Heft in the tone. Plenty of mid range bite. NEVER sounds soapy, fluffy, whooly, mushy UNLESS you engage the ultra low. Absolutely Phenomenal DI. Loves 'P' basses with traditional flats, ie Labella. Easy to use EQ, especially in a live situation ( just bass mid and treble ). I use position 3 on the mid selector, but if wanting slight edge taken off I'll use position 2 ( rarely tho ). Very versatile, and will do loud and clean - crunchy and bright - tubey throaty. Doesn't feel wanting when using one single 8 ohm cab. Very powerful Gain Knob - after 12 o'clock its a weapon. It's size might not be for everyone - its a bit bigger than most micro's. No need to ever again buy Pedals that emulate the Ampeg sound.

Ampeg tone and power
Amazing amp from the Ampeg range. Lightweight, powerful and ful of tonal options. This amp will power anything you pair with it and make it loud. the on board compressors is one of the best I have come across built into an amp. pair with a big cab and your guitarist will have to have to be turning up to beat you.

Bass Heaven
I, like another reviewer, run my SVT-7 pro head into the ampeg 610HLF. Truly a match made in bass heaven! This amp has ooldes of power with plenty of headroom even on bigger stages. Features for days, a sweet plethora of mid range tones available, buckets of bottom end, and i like to be conservative with my top end, and use the horn boost on the cab (just preferance). The fans don't resemble a Hoover, which is nice. It's lightweight too so it won't turn your rack into a slab of inconvenience. I just simply love this amp! Pair it with an ampeg 610 and you'll never look back.
