Acoustic sound is out of this world. When plugged in it took some tweaking to dial in what I wanted - but was able to eventually get an authentic upright sound. My only gripes are the side dot markers are really awkward to see at a glance on low light stages, and those internal soundhole controls. Would rather have surface mounted controls and fit a feedback buster to control feedback . I bought the bass for the sound, not the aesthetics.
This particular Acoustic produced from Guild is based on the 70's era. The B-50 Acoustic Bass with a wide deep bottom end. The sound is deep and warm. This product comes with standard strings. I personally prefer the Tru 88 Black Nylon Bass Strings from Rotosound and The Nylon Tap wound strings from LaBella Strings. The sound that projects from these instruments Fretted and Fretless are so special unplugged. Everyone has their unique flavor. That Deep Warm Hearted Feeling is Hard to Find. "Five Star Excellence". I will the Journey of Sound up to you !!!
