The Hofner Cavern was the original Hofner style of bass that McCartney played in the early days of the Beatles. The pickup positioning renders beautiful low end that is wider and fuller than the traditional 500/1 Hofner bass.
Hofner Ignition VSB Beatles bass "Cavern" version - spruce top, maple body, rosewood fretboard, 22 frets, 76cm scale, 42mm saddle width. Control plate with 2 x volume controls, 2 x on/off pickups switches, rhythm/solo switch for volume boost. 2 x Hofner humbucker pickups set in "Cavern" position, nickel plated hardware. Colour: Vintage Sunburst.
