Aguilar Tone Hammer 500 V2...New for 2024

Crafted for the discerning bassist, the Tone Hammer 500 V2 series delivers a lightweight yet powerful solution to your tonal and volume needs. Inspired by the soulful warmth of tube amplifiers, the Tone Hammers rich and harmonic preamp offers a round, full-bodied character, ensuring every note resonates with depth and definition. The classic 3-band EQ set, featuring bass, treble, and fully sweepable midrange controls, allows for precise tonal shaping. The Drive control introduces distortion, adding tube-like grit and punch to your sound. With the Aguilar Cabinet Suite, universal mains, and expanded connectivity options, the Tone Hammer 500 V2 series meets the performance needs of bassists, providing a seamless blend in live, studio, and home environments.

Aguilar Cabinet Suite. With Aguilars software suite, players have the ability to load any of our in-house designed SL / DB cabinet IR’s or load their own custom IR files for cabinet emulation options via XLR or headphone out.

With dual XLR’s users can freely shape their tone and apply cabinet IR’s for their monitor mix, while simultaneously using the additional XLR to send a pre-eq’d signal to the front of house mix. Now you can keep your engineer happy and your monitor world inspired! These amps also feature Aux In and Headphone out options for silent practice as well as mix control for fine tuning your listening experience.

The Tone Hammer Series features universal mains for worry-free voltage changes when traveling internationally and the ability to support a 2.67 ohm load for expanded cabinet pairings.

Tone hammer.

It’s a great amp. So much power for such a light unit. If I crank it above 4 things start to fall off my desk and shelves. Love it!

Amazing!!

When this turned up, i thought FAKE!!! Was sooo light!! I looked inside the grill at a tiny little circuit and thought, "Yep, definitely sent me the empty display model!"... But I thought, why not play along, I plugged it into my Aguilar GS212 and plugged in my Sandberg. Lights came on, good start, there is at least a light that works. Turned everything up and F*&%#$@!!! WHAT AN AMP!!!! This is the perfect jamming and gigging head!! The DRIVE is awesome and when worked with the GAIN, you can get a majority of sounds to get you through any situation!! I've even been able to remove a blues overdrive pedal from my live setup! Get it! You, your back and your ears will thank me later!! Cheers, Nathan (aka. Strippers From Mars)

Tonejammer 500 - great sound, great service

Bought the Tonehammer 500 after some good advice from Darren at Bass Centre. Am running it into some good LabSystems 2 x 10" boxes. P-bass and Jazz bass sound excellent. Truly excellent. I bought online at a good price and it was dispatched the same day. Great service. Great buy from my perspective. Thanks Bass Centre. Cheers, Dave Moss (Byron Bay) davemoss.com.au

Big sound, Little weight

I bought this head because I needed something small to take to gigs and as a replacement to my old Gallien Kruger 400rb and it was perfect. This amp is so small and lightweight I can fit it in the pouch on my gig bag along with cords and sheet music. It sounds fat and clear which is everything you would ever want in a bass head. I play this with an Aguilar SL112 and a Bergantino 410 for bigger gigs. Through both speakers it sounds amazing and get nice and dirty with the use of the drive knob.
