Fender Vintera® II '70s Competition Mustang® Bass

Transport yourself back to the groovy '70s with the Vintera® II '70s Competition Mustang® Bass, and immerse yourself in the iconic aesthetics, inspiring playability, and unparalleled tone that only a Fender can offer.

Crafted with an alder body and a maple neck adorned with a rosewood fingerboard, the Vintera® II '70s Competition Mustang® Bass captures that classic Fender sound characterized by its robust punch and crystal-clear clarity. The early-'70s "C"-shaped neck design pays homage to the beloved '70s profile, ensuring an instinctive and inviting playing experience. Meanwhile, the 7.25" radius fingerboard, complete with vintage-tall frets, offers a comfortable, vintage-inspired platform for bold bends and expressive vibrato techniques.

Under the hood, the vintage-style '70s split-coil pickup faithfully recreates the legendary Fender Mustang sound—warm, woody, dynamic, and potent. Complementing the instrument's vintage appeal, the vintage-style 4-saddle bridge and tuning machines not only exude classic aesthetics but also provide enhanced intonation and tuning stability, rounding out the package perfectly.

FAQ: Why is it called Competition Burgundy when it is clearly BLUE? - Well, when Fender first did that finish in the 70's it was actually a Burgundy but there was an issue with the paint and it quickly faded into a Blue, so Fender are calling it "burgundy" as homage but we assure you....its Blue ;-)
