Jim Dunlop 105Q Crybaby Bass Wah 105Q

The first Wah Wah pedal designed by bass players for bass players. The 105Q incorporates a proprietary potentiometer* and custom EQ circuitry, specifically optimised for bass frequencies. The Cry Baby Bass Wah applies the wah effect to the mids and highs only, leaving a strong fundamental to hold down the bottom—so you can take solos or throw in fills without ever disturbing your low end. This amazing pedal is used by Flea, Justin Meldal-Johnsen, Doug Wimbish, Robert Trujillo and more.

The classic

The Cry Baby 105q was the first bass pedal I ever bought - this was the older version with the tone and volume knobs underneath. This version eventually broke down after many years of pounding, however I went straight back out to the Bass Centre and purchased another one. Thankfully, the newer versions such as this have the tone knobs within easy each on the side of the pedal. The tone is great and since the pedal is designed specifically for bass, you tend to lose much less of the lows than when you use a pedal designed for normal guitars. Highly recommended, all bass players who play funk should go in to the shop and try one immediately!

It goes Wah Wah

A very solid product, has nice tones all along the Q dial. I find I like this on my strat as it gives very nice warm, and mellow tones compared to the harsher sounds of the guitar version. Had very few problems with it, and would recommend to anyone looking for a Wah for their bass or trying something new on guitar.
