The original MEC pick up has been replaced with an EMG. We did that replacement almost 10 years ago as the MEC was a single coil and as such was noisy in a studio situation.
The original body depth of this model was over 4.5" deep. The owner needed it to be more comfortable and so a professional modification was made whereby the carved back was removed and the sides were thinned, resulting in an incredibly comfortable semi acoustic. The job was done by Cargill Custom Guitars, if we didn't tell you about it you would never even know, it is faultless.
It's a fully carved flame Maple top and back, flame maple sides, flame maple neck and and Ebony fretless board. It plays incredibly and sounds truly magnificent. At the time this instrument was $17,000. It is priced to sell
