Spector Euro 5 LT

One of the true classic modern basses! Designed by Stuart Spector, Spector basses deliver a tone that no other bass can. Huge low end, incredible clarity in the top end and absolute mid range definition. Spector basses redefined bass tone from the mid 80's and have been a favourite of many bass greats from Sting to Doug Wimbish to Mike Inez.

Now, the Euro Series expands to include a new range of instruments; the Euro LT Series. The European Alder body wings are now carefully weight-relieved (chambered) before they are topped with highly figured North American Maple. The 3-piece Maple neck now features a 35" scale, 24 fret Ebony fingerboard and carefully tapered neck profile. Euro LT basses also include premium, custom-wound pickups from Bartolini and a custom-voiced Darkglass active pre-amp. Together, they provide an articulate and versatile tonal palette, suitable for all players. Additionally, Euro LT models include Spector's professional-grade hardware, a variety of all-new high gloss finishes, and world-class craftsmanship.

  • Weight-relieved European Alder body with figured North American Maple top and a slice of Walnut
  • 3-piece Maple neck; 35" scale 24 fret Ebony fingerboard with Spector’s signature Crown inlays
  • Passive, custom-wound Bartolini pickups; Custom-voiced Darkglass active tone circuit
  • Gotoh Lightweight Tuners; Lightweight Spector Locking Bridge; Gold hardware

Spector Euro quality

This bass oozes quality from the minute you pick it up and it has a sound to match. More a deep traditional than a modern slappy sound, though the controls cater for slap. The neck is larger than average but I (average male) am not finding this a problem as the shape seems to be just right. The one problem is that now my other basses including a Spector Rebop and Spector Legend and upmarket Ibanezes no longer feel as good as they used to.
