Ships direct from Warehouse Bass Centre

Much more than just a direct box, the SansAmp Bass Driver DI is capable of dialing up big vintage tube tones, bright modern slap sounds, gnarly distortions, and all in between. Three different outputs to drive power amps, recording desks, PA mixers, or simply enhance your current rig. Controls include Presence for definition and upper harmonic content; Blend to combine the proportion of direct signal and SansAmp circuitry; and active EQ specifically tuned for bass with 12dB of cut or boost.

VERSION 2
With the popularity of 5- and 6-string basses going beyond fad status and becoming mainstream, Tech 21 added a switch to adjust the bass frequency to extend into those lower registers. They also added a mid-range control and a switch to adjust its frequency. The core of the SansAmp Bass Driver and all of its tones remain true to its original design.

Changed the way I gig

The versatility of sounds you can get out of this is massive, can make a POS head and cab sound like ampeg, excellent as a DI, well and truly the industry standard

easiest way to better your sound

Any bass guitarists in the beginner to intermediate bracket will find this pedal to be absolutely amazing. It's basically a "make my bass sound better" button. Starts off giving a nice clean sound with the drive turned down. Brings in some overdrive fuzz as the drive is turned up. This can be manipulated with the EQ and presence controls to get different sounds from it. You can get really growly almost-cleans to spanking dirty treble with a few knob twists. There's a lot of variation in tone with the knobs as well, you get many different sounds on one revolution. The construction is good. Solid, never had a problem with it. It's basic, so if you're after something really professional or high end then this isn't what you're after, but for the price there's really not a whole lot better. It's also a DI, pretty standard in that line. Not top end, but you're not paying for a top end pedal. You get more than what you pay for, that's for sure.

Must have for the gigging/recording bassist

Bassists should not be allowed to gig without one! Great sounding tube emulator, highly adaptable for any style, especially if you want to add a bit of growl to your solid state amp! Fantastic backup to go directly into a PA if you are having amp issues, plus sounds fantastic direct when recording. Seriously perfect gear - must have!
